Did you know you can paddle almost hands-free in a Hobie Kayak?
Situated on the Gippsland Lakes and surrounded by rivers, means endless paddling options for our Sit on Top Kayaks, Hobie Kayaks & Stand Up Paddleboards. Here we have made a couple of popular suggestions -
Paddle the Cunningham Arm (aka the front lake), which will take you under our iconic Footbridge at one end, and towards the Entrance at the other end. Beginner paddlers that prefer to keep away from other boats will prefer to head towards the Footbridge, but if you're hoping to spot seals & dolphins, pull your vessel up on the beach just after Flagstaff Jetty and go for a short walk along the boardwalk at the Entrance channel.
For a half day paddling adventure, you can paddle from the Cunningham Arm into the North Arm of the lake (aka the back lake) to Wyanga Park Winery for lunch. Approximately 1.5hr paddle each way from the Venture Out shop - a half day hire will allow you a lunch stop out on the deck. Call the winery for pick up from their jetty or get legs working by taking the 10 minute walk up the hill.
We have a Paddle & Dine package available with the Wyanga Park Winery at $59 per person, which includes kayak hire, and a meal & drink per person. If the distance is putting you off - we can shorten your paddle by half, by offering a drop off and pick up at the North Arm boat ramp, at $10 per trip.

And the options don't stop there!
Lake Tyers can be paddled from Nowa Nowa to Lake Tyers Beach (24km) as an overnight experience, camping lakeside, or as a very full-day paddle. The Tambo, Nicholson & Mitchell Rivers all offer serene paddling experiences passing through small townships. Raymond Island, Paynesville & Eagle Point with the Silt Jetties are another special and scenic area on the Gippsland Lakes, as well as Metung, Nungurner & Rigby Island. If you're wanting a point to point paddle, we can offer a drop off or shuttle return and if you're looking for a guided experience, we can custom make a tour to suit you.
